Partner with The Well in reaching students for Christ.

Before coming to college, I was searching for anything that would fill the emptiness in my heart. Though I grew up in a Christian home and was saved at a young age, I was allowing sin to rule over my life. During my freshman year, a friend invited me to The Well’s Barn Party. There I realized that I was living for things that wouldn’t satisfy. I joined my friend’s small group Bible study and began attending The Well on Wednesday nights. I began to understand the grace and mercy of Christ. He changed my life and gave me a passion for the gospel. Throughout my time at The Well, I’ve been able to serve in missions overseas, plan outreach events for our campus, and lead a freshman Bible study. I am truly thankful for all that God has done in and through my life.

Growing up I went through the motions at church. After I graduated from high school, I went down a dark road during my first year at community college. I fell in with the wrong crowd and began drinking and doing drugs. Then, I came to ETSU. I was miserable at first, but then someone invited me to The Well’s Barberitos Fiesta Night. I went for free burritos but fell in love with the people and the atmosphere and decided to check out the Wednesday night worship gatherings. One night the Lord grabbed a hold of my heart during a sermon on shame. I surrendered my life to Christ. God has given me a new heart toward others, Himself, and my battle with sin. I have grown tremendously in my faith!

Coming into college I filled my life with impurity and worldly pursuits. Thankfully, a friend invited me to The Well. I found satisfaction there that I had never experienced – all in Jesus Christ! I tagged along to my friend’s small group Bible study, and the Lord captured my heart. I felt a deep conviction for the way I had chosen to live my life, but in Jesus I found hope. The Well has given me a place to meet each week to learn more about Jesus, Christ-centered community, and an opportunity to serve Him on my campus and in missions.
